Corruption and scandals
- Link to the crypto bank Nexo. Toma Bikov (GERB-SDS) told journalists in parliament that the former PP MP was Nexo's representative for Plovdiv. Darik Radio had presented him in that capacity in a programme about a cultural initiative backed by the company. The claim came after a raid on Nexo, when the Prosecutor General's spokesperson Siyka Mileva announced an operation against a scheme of financial crimes, money laundering and breaches of the international sanctions against Russia. Speaking to Maritsa, quoted by Agency Standart, he denied it: "I was an ordinary employee there, I have never been a representative for Plovdiv" (our translation). He also said nobody had contacted him.
