Corruption and scandals
- Refused to give up his seat to Durhan Mustafa. He entered parliament on the ДПС list in Burgas because of the "9/9 phenomenon". BurgasInfo reports that he was expelled from the ДПС parliamentary group after refusing to leave the National Assembly in favour of the second candidate on the list. The list leader, Kamen Kostadinov, resigned as an MP, saying he was taking political responsibility for what had happened. On bTV's Tazi sutrin, Isaev explained his refusal by saying that voters in the Burgas region, and above all in Ruen, do not want Mustafa, a former mayor of that municipality. He also said he would most likely support the governing ГЕРБ and Обединени патриоти. The outlet calls him the first independent MP in the 44th National Assembly. — BurgasInfo, 02.05.2017
