Corruption and scandals
- Tax probe of four Protest Network activists. The Sofia Globe reports that the National Revenue Agency is checking, at a prosecutor's request, four core members of the Protest Network: Antoaneta Tsoneva, Nikolai Staykov, Assen Genov and Konstantin Pavlov. Prosecutor-General Sotir Tsatsarov explains that the probe arose from letters by Nedyalko Nedyalkov, described by the outlet as a figure from a media widely seen as close to Peevski. The letters asked whether the funds that the four's organisations receive from foundations are their income and whether their taxes were paid. In December 2014 it was found that there was insufficient data for pre-trial proceedings, and the matter was passed to the Criminal Police directorate-general of the Interior Ministry; the investigation had not been completed.
