Corruption and scandals

  • Alleged link between her expulsion and the Sali Tabakov case. Sega writes that no reasons were given and that there are unproven claims linking the group's decision to the scandal around the arrested recent DPS leader in Varna. The paper does not say who makes them, and mentions no charge or investigation against her. — Sega, 27.06.2024
  • Claim of an anti-corruption commission (KPKONPI) inspection in Novi Pazar. The website Za Istinata, citing unnamed sources, writes that the operation in the municipal administration had been under way for several days and that it is presumed to concern her as the outgoing deputy mayor. The article contains no statement by the commission itself and no charge against her. — Za Istinata, 27.06.2024

Other

  • Expelled from the DPS parliamentary group. The decision was announced by the Speaker, Raya Nazaryan, BTA reports; by early July the group had also expelled Dzheyhan Ibryamov and Ramadan Atalay. Svobodna Evropa notes that she and Atalay are considered close to Ahmed Dogan and writes, citing the website 24 Rodopi, that her removal was requested by the organisation in Shumen. Formally such moves were explained by poor election results, but in that district support for the DPS rose at the election of 9 June 2024; what fell were the votes from Turkey, for which she was said to have been responsible. — BTA, 27.06.2024, BTA (video), 06.07.2024, Svobodna Evropa (RFE/RL), 03.07.2024
  • Six municipal DPS branches demand her resignation. A month after she was elected DPS regional leader in Shumen province, 15 municipal leaders, mayors and regional council members accused her of one-person decisions and of ignoring the collective body, Trud writes. She told the paper she would not step down and did not share their reasons. — Trud, 27.04.2016
  • Calls on Turhan Karakash to resign. In a social media post quoted by mediamall.info she wrote that the acting regional chairman had told the party's Central Council "that I had worked for the other wing of the DPS, and that is why the APS got no result!" (our translation). — mediamall.info, 01.12.2024
