Corruption and scandals
- Declarations. On 27.08.2026 Mediapool listed Borislav Georgiev among 17 Progressive Bulgaria MPs with no property declaration published in the MPs section of the Court of Audit website. After publication the Court of Audit sent a clarification that "almost all of them have held other public posts and their declarations are in the respective sections of the site" (our translation); it named Ivan Vachev and Irina Asimova-Diamant as the exceptions. - The apartments. A publication mentioning a person of the same name (the page gives no other detail linking him to the MP): in February 2022 a row broke out in the Sofia City Council over a report by two district mayors "which proposed donating two apartments to our Olympic champion Stoyka Krasteva and her coach Borislav Georgiev" (our translation); "the report ... did not get the required majority" (our translation). — 24 Chasa, 10.02.2022
