Corruption and scandals
- Removed as executive director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency. bTV Novinite quotes her: „I take my dismissal as revanchism towards me and towards the government that appointed me. I am not a member of any party“ (our translation). She says she was removed without warning, and that the stated grounds are termination of the contract without notice by the appointing authority. Minister Kiril Petkov, in her words, did not call her in or tell her about any problem, but walked in and told her to leave. She will not seek her rights in court, she says. Former deputy minister Stamen Yanev returns to the post. — bTV Novinite, 14.05.2021
- A permanent post at the State Fund Agriculture after the dismissal. Boulevard Bulgaria writes that on the very day she left the investment agency she returned to the state administration: for three years she had kept a permanent post at the State Fund Agriculture while seconded to the Ministry of Finance and to the team of Mariyana Nikolova at the Council of Ministers. The fund's director Vasil Grudev, quoted from Mediapool, says that under the Civil Servant Act her position is restored automatically and that he has no room to act. According to him she was asked to take long unpaid leave but cannot be obliged not to return to work. Her post there is expert in the Contracting directorate for European projects. — Boulevard Bulgaria, 14.05.2021

- Unannounced appointment as adviser to Deputy PM Pulev. Club Z writes that it learned from several sources that the former GERB MP was appointed adviser to Deputy PM Alexander Pulev. The appointment had not been announced; it was confirmed only after the outlet's inquiry to Pulev's team and to the Council of Ministers. Pulev's office replies that she was appointed as an adviser with professional experience in certifying large investment projects. — Club Z, 22.07.2026
- Request for documents on listing a gunpowder plant as a strategic site. Radio Free Europe (Genka Shikerova) writes that at the hearing of economy minister Bogdan Bogdanov in the parliamentary economic committee on the Karash Invest gunpowder plant, the proposal that Bogdanov hand over to MPs all documents on the Council of Ministers draft decision came from the GERB MP. In an email to the outlet she states that „the then economy minister, without any data or analysis and on the basis of a single sentence to DANS, asked for the site to be declared of strategic importance“ (our translation). Her statement does not mention that she found anything wrong after reviewing them, the outlet notes. The same article says that five minutes before the cabinet meeting the State Agency for National Security (DANS) withdrew its favourable opinion without arguments, and that this followed a call from Delyan Peevski. — Radio Free Europe, 13.01.2025
- Facebook post: GERB is Boyko Borisov. Plovdiv24.bg quotes the post by the recently departed GERB MP, written after Boyko Borisov demanded the resignation of Plovdiv mayor Zdravko Dimitrov: the party is not him, and „Thanks to Mr Boyko Borisov some of us are MPs, others mayors and municipal councillors“ (our translation). — Plovdiv24.bg, 06.02.2023
