Corruption and scandals
- External consultant to Finance Minister Asen Vasilev. Georgi Kadiev of Levitsata wrote on social media that, for an audit of the Съдебна защита directorate, Dimitar Kolev Gochev, until recently a PP MP, had been appointed external consultant to the Internal Audit department of the Finance Ministry: "The order has been placed, the result of the audit is known in advance" (our translation). Stefan Antonov alleges in Glasove that for 5,000 leva a month he advised the minister on legal matters, including the international arbitration cases, without being a member of the political cabinet, and took part in drafting the rules for the contest on who would defend Bulgaria in the case brought by Nexo.
