Corruption and scandals
- ДПС municipal councils withdraw their trust from her. In July 2024, during the split between the Peevski and Dogan camps, all seven ДПС municipal councils in Kardzhali district withdrew their trust from four MPs, Gyurkash among them. According to БТА, as carried by OFFNews, the councils declared support for Ahmed Dogan under the slogan „ДПС без Пеевски“ (our translation: 'ДПС without Peevski'); the declarations came from the regional structure of his wing. In November 2024 the same wing announced her expulsion, Mediapool reports, and the other camp contested it.
