- Agent VIKTOR of the Sixth Directorate. According to agentibg.com he was an agent with the pseudonym VIKTOR of the Sixth Directorate of State Security. He was recruited on 13 June 1989 and registered on 19 June 1989 by the case officer Hristo Filipov Hristov, who also ran him. In a characterisation from that year the Sixth Directorate wrote: "Ekov expressed a positive attitude to the State Security organs and readiness to cooperate as far as he is able on the questions that interest us" (our translation). — agentibg.com
- What VIKTOR reported. In his agent reports, writes agentibg.com, he relayed the fears of the City Leadership of the Fatherland Front and of the Vladimir Poptomov House about anti-socialist actions by the Gotse Delchev club, of which he was secretary. He also reported on changes and moods in other cultural and educational clubs across the country, and his reporting continued after 10 November 1989. — agentibg.com
- The file: access ban and late disclosure. The agent’s personal file runs to 50 sheets and was put into the form required by the operational register only in 2007. One of the cards in the State Security card index is marked "forbidden access to P [personal] and RD [working file]" (our translation) with a note "1995". According to agentibg.com the Bonev (1997) and Andreev (2001–2002) commissions did not name him as a collaborator. — agentibg.com
