Corruption and scandals
- Order for the Arda holiday settlement. After a complex inspection around the Ivaylovgrad reservoir, the Haskovo regional governor Rumen Danev said the order creating the Arda holiday settlement was signed in 2000 by the then Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Evgeni Chachev. According to Danev, Lyubimets municipality drew up a cadastral plan on the basis of the order, but the settlement was never approved. He added that the National Construction Control Directorate's inspection in the former village of Stavri Dimitrovo, known as the customs officers' village, produced 119 findings, 36 of them banning residential use of buildings and the rest for demolition of structures. — Blitz.bg, 20.10.2010
