Corruption and scandals

  • DPS. According to a check by ClubZ, Progressive Bulgaria has drawn at least six people linked to Ahmed Dogan's APS onto its lists. One of them is Fatme Ramadan, "a former DPS MP in the 47th, 49th and 50th National Assembly" (our translation), eighth on the PB list in Burgas. — ClubZ, 19.03.2026
  • Dogan. ClubZ writes that Ramadan "stayed loyal to honorary chairman Ahmed Dogan and was among those expelled from the parliamentary group after Delyan Peevski usurped power in it" (our translation), and calls her "the surprise" (our translation) among Progressive Bulgaria's new MPs from Burgas. — ClubZ, 28.04.2026
  • Blank sheets. In July 2024 Ramadan told Dir.bg that for the past year DPS had been run single-handedly, with decisions not taken by the collective bodies as the statute requires, and that the leadership had MPs sign blank sheets, so that they turned out to have expelled deputy chair Aysel Rufad. — Dir.bg, 08.07.2024
