• Accused of mismanagement; a third request to lift his immunity. Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev asked the National Assembly to lift his immunity. 24 Chasa writes that he is accused of mismanagement and non-payment of tax liabilities, that the case has been under review since 2018 and that a criminal investigation against him was opened in October 2019 (our translation). In 4 years no indictment has been filed. The prosecution has made three requests, and each time he waived his immunity himself. — 24 Chasa, 07.06.2022
• Second immunity request: undeclared interest on a loan. Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov again asked on 1 July for his immunity to be lifted, for a tax offence. According to News.bg, the investigation established that for 2016 the MP "did not declare 44,000 leva which he received as interest from the company" (our translation), to which he had lent 200,000 euro in 2013. His declaration waiving immunity was registered with parliament on 8 July. — News.bg, 10.07.2019
• Request to lift his immunity over the haematology hospital's debts. Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov asked for his immunity to be lifted. Puls writes that, according to the prosecution, an Economic Police check showed debts of the haematology hospital he headed to suppliers of just over 24 million leva at the end of May 2018; having concluded that the debt resulted from contracts he signed, the prosecution seeks to charge him with mismanagement and concluding unfavourable contracts. He answers: "I agree to my immunity being lifted. I give it voluntarily. I do not think I have committed any violations of the law" (our translation).
