Corruption and scandals
- Immunity: request to lift it over coercion. In December 2024 the acting Prosecutor General Сарафов, a politically contested figure, asked the National Assembly to lift his immunity. The prosecution says the evidence suffices for a charge of coercion (Art. 143(1) of the Criminal Code): in Veliko Tarnovo he „употребил заплахи за осигуряването на 20 преференции в изборите за 49-то НС“ (our translation: "used threats to secure 20 preferential votes in the elections for the 49th National Assembly") in April 2023. He denies it: according to Борба БГ he handed out only 20 business cards, offered no money and would waive the protection himself. In January 2025 he gave written consent, Sega reports, quoting the parliament's chair Наталия Киселова. No information on charges, a trial or a verdict was found. — Sega, 08.01.2025
- Peevski: he will waive his immunity. His party leader Delyan Peevski announced it on the day the prosecution filed its request, adding that the MP had no reason to hide behind his immunity, bTV Novinite reports. — bTV Novinite, 19.12.2024
- Former ДПС councillor accuses him of pressure. A former ДПС municipal councillor in Павликени, who has left the party and is in a dispute with its leadership, accuses the MP of pressuring local councillors, Свободна точка writes: to install a hospital director friendly to ДПС and to allocate budget money for repairs benefiting a specific firm. If anything happens to him or his family, he says, Далоолу, Сунай Мунков and Цанко Цонев will be responsible.
