Agentibg.com quotes the surviving top-secret report on the recruitment: „На кандидата бе направен анализ на досегашната ни съвместна дейност и му бе благодарено за оказаната от него помощ“ (our translation: The candidate was given an analysis of our joint activity so far and thanked for the help he had given). From this the outlet concludes that he had already collaborated with the Sixth Directorate before. The document also says: „Поставихме му въпроса дали би желал досегашната ни дейност да продължи и за в бъдеще Анчев отговори положително, стига да има възможност за това“ (our translation: We asked him whether he would like our activity so far to continue in future too, and Anchev answered positively, provided he had the opportunity). He chose the pseudonym CHAVDAR himself and was tasked with identifying those of his regular clients with marked criminal tendencies; he was a lawyer at the time.
