Communist Party and State Security
- His father – a State Security agent, pseudonym Mitko. By decision No 20 of 19.12.2007 the Commission for Disclosing the Documents and Announcing Affiliation of Bulgarian Citizens to State Security and the Intelligence Services of the Bulgarian People's Army established and announced the affiliation of Beyzat Sadak Yahya, born 09.07.1961 in the village of Venets, Shumen region, a candidate for municipal councillor in Venets municipality nominated by the DPS: agent and secret collaborator, pseudonym Mitko, at the Interior Ministry's Shumen district directorate, State Security department. He was recruited on 27.10.1986 by Senior Lieutenant Valentin Ivanov Ivanov. Among the documents on which the affiliation was established is personal file IA-503 (Shn). He was taken off the active operational register in 1991. Corruption and scandals
- House built without a building permit in the Izgrev reservoir. Narod.bg, citing unnamed informed people, experts and the weekly Weekend, claims that near the village of Osenovets he built a house worth about a million leva in the basin of the Izgrev reservoir without obtaining a building permit before the concrete was poured: he had a permit only for a trailer, and building is banned at the site. According to the same text, under the caretaker government the national construction control directorate (ДНСК) and police inspected the site, found that a massive structure in a reservoir cannot be lawful, and a demolition procedure was started. - His father – among those entered in the managements of state forestry enterprises. In an investigation into appointments to state-enterprise boards in the last weeks of GERB's rule, Radio Free Europe reports, citing the Commercial Register, that changes to the managements of the state forestry enterprises were entered on 26 April 2021, among the names being Beyzat Yahya.
