Russia
- Belene. In February 2025 Iskra Mihaylova said: „After the Ukrainian Rada adopted a decision that they can afford to complete nuclear capacity with Russian equipment and Russian specialists, it is already clear that Bulgaria can do this too“ (our translation). According to her, Vazrazhdane was submitting a decision to cancel the negotiations on selling the Belene reactors to Ukraine, so that the plant could be completed with this equipment. — Trud, 12.02.2025
- Neftochim. In December 2022, in connection with the DPS bill under which products from Russian oil refined by Lukoil Neftochim would be for domestic consumption only, Iskra Mihaylova (Vazrazhdane) cited an answer published on the European Commission's website: „refined products are not subject to sanctions and there is no need whatsoever to restrict the export of such products from Bulgaria“ (our translation). — News.bg, 06.12.2022
Corruption and scandals
- Removal from the sitting. On 05.03.2025 deputy speaker Nikoleta Kuzmanova imposed on Iskra Mihaylova (Vazrazhdane) the penalty of removal from the sitting; the penalty was later changed to a reprimand. — BTA, 05.03.2025
- The rostrum. On 04.07.2025, during question time, Iskra Mihaylova took the floor on a point of procedure and refused to leave the rostrum. Speaker Natalia Kiselova said that an MP was obstructing the right of other MPs to ask questions and called a further break; question time was interrupted for the second time. — BTA, 04.07.2025
- The declaration. OFFNews reported in October 2023 that "Vazrazhdane MP Iskra Mihaylova, their candidate for mayor of Stara Zagora, has not declared a single stotinka or any property in the asset declaration she signed on entering the 49th National Assembly" (our translation); in her two declarations to the anti-corruption commission "Mihaylova noted that she had nothing to declare a total of 23 times" (our translation). — OFFNews, 02.10.2023
