- His company is buying Gazprom's petrol stations in Bulgaria. The Commission for Protection of Competition clears the deal under which Uni Energy, owned by Konstantinov, takes over the sites from NIS Petrol. NIS Petrol is a subsidiary of the Serbian NIS, whose majority owner is Gazprom Neft – part of the portfolio of the Russian state-owned company. The deal can only be completed with a certificate from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department, because of the sanctions on Gazprom-linked companies imposed after the start of the war in Ukraine.
