Corruption and scandals
- A meeting with the Prime Minister before leaving ИТН. Speaking in the lobbies of parliament, as quoted by News.bg, he said that Kiril Petkov had phoned him asking to meet and at a short meeting asked him to reconsider his position, „not to throw the country into chaos“ (our translation); he denies being offered posts or money or any talk of 500K. He later split from the ИТН group after backing the party's demand to remove the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nikola Minchev. Slavi Trifonov accuses the Prime Minister of trading in MPs to keep power; Mediapool quotes his answer: „neither money nor benefits were offered to me, absolutely nothing“ (our translation). — Mediapool, 19.06.2022, News.bg, 10.06.2022
