Corruption and scandals

  • The Bobokovs. Journalist Sonia Koltuklieva writes in 5gmedia that Krasimir Ivanov, fourth on the Progressive Bulgaria list in Ruse, "is a diligent executor of the will of the brothers Atanas and Plamen Bobokov" and a "long-time manager at Prista Oil" (our translation). The article is a pre-election piece that opens with the claim that Rumen Radev "hides the truth about the backstage he is mired in" (our translation), cites an unnamed source from Ruse and presents no documents. According to the same article, the Bobokovs, owners of Monbat and Prista Oil, were arrested at the end of May 2020 and are being tried at the Sofia City Court for importing and illegally storing hazardous waste. — 5gmedia, 19.03.2026
  • Bulgarian Rise, 2022. Text from a Dnevnik article (30.08.2022), seen only as a search result: "In Ruse the list will be headed by Krasimir Ivanov, who is currently a manager at Prista Oil, is a graduate of a military school and has worked in the structures of the Interior Ministry" (our translation) — Dnevnik, 30.08.2022
