Corruption and scandals
- Accusations against the dismissed head of MBAL St. Mina. As head of the Health directorate of Plovdiv Municipality she answers the briefing at which Maria Goreva, the hospital manager removed the day before, rejected the accusations against herself. She recalls the promises in Goreva's development programme for the hospital, among them improving its finances, and sums up: "Nothing of what was stated has been fulfilled to date" (our translation). She further states that for a microtome only a single offer was submitted, without the two further offers the regulations require; that by the manager's own report a committee she set up found overdrawn sums from her monthly pay in 2024 amounting to 7,837.20 leva; and that Goreva lacks the required educational qualification.
