Corruption and scandals
- Removed from the board of foundation Пловдив 2019. In May 2017 he was removed from the foundation's management board, together with deputy mayor Amelia Gesheva. Municipal councillors from GERB and BSP, his political rivals, alleged a conflict of interest: as manager of Жанет 45 he had offered to publish a book on the Mahala project in Stolipinovo. Peykov replied that he had offered the service free of charge. No charges or finding of wrongdoing were reported. The Дневник page could not be opened, so only a snippet of it was read. — Dnevnik, 18.05.2017
- Lawsuit by Kostadin Kostadinov over a nickname used from the rostrum. In April 2023, from the parliamentary rostrum, he called the leader of Vazrazhdane Коцето Късопишков. Speaker Zhelyazkov reprimanded both men. Kostadinov sued and announced on Facebook that the court had ordered the MP to pay him nearly 3,000 lv. The plaintiff, a political opponent, is the only source for the outcome; the ruling itself has not been seen. — Plovdiv24.bg, 26.06.2026
- Flagman.bg: expelled from the chamber after a clash with Vazrazhdane MPs. The outlet reports that he poured water over them in the plenary hall. No other outlet confirms it, and no sanction beyond the removal has been found. — Flagman.bg, 2026
