Corruption and scandals
- MECh alleges a forged signature on a declaration. MECh leader Radostin Vasilev presents a signal that he attributes to Grigor Zdravkov of Antimafia. According to the signal, Ilieva "did not fill in the declaration for registering the party in Plovdiv and Sofia" (our translation), and her signature was forged by MP Stiliyana Bobcheva. Vasilev's party is a political opponent of Velichie, the signal comes from a private individual presenting himself as a witness, and the preliminary handwriting comparison, which says the handwriting is not hers, was made by MECh itself. It also referred the matter to the prosecutor's office and later released a recording in which, by its account, Bobcheva admits this (Dnevnik reports, 12.11.2025). No charge and no decision on the signals has been found. — News.bg, 30.10.2025
- She rejects the forgery allegations. In a statement from the parliamentary rostrum, Ilieva calls MECh's claims groundless: "The content of my declaration is entirely true, it was signed by me personally" (our translation). Vasilev replies that a signal is pending with the prosecutor's office, and National Assembly Chair Raya Nazaryan gives him a reprimand (забележка). No ruling on the merits has been found. — Utro Ruse (via BTA), 13.11.2025
- MECh challenges her election before the CIK. MECh, a political opponent of Velichie, referred Ilieva's election to the CIK, claiming she was elected without the mandatory declaration. A bTV report says the issue reached the Council of Chairmen of the National Assembly, and her party said it was being attacked by the ruling majority. According to News.bg, she would not resign (31.10.2025). Her mandate has not been revoked and no decision on the referral has been found. — News.bg, 05.11.2025
