Corruption and scandals

  • The declaration. According to Mediapool, her asset declaration lists two apartments in Sofia (from 2008 and 2022) and a garage, property acquired free of charge near her home town of Berkovitsa, in the village of Barzia (a house, a storeroom, two garages), and a total of EUR 123,389 in bank accounts. — Mediapool, 27.08.2026
  • Peevski. In an interview for BNT's "Panorama" she defended parliament's refusal to set up temporary inquiry committees on topics related to Delyan Peevski, including his security and property: "The National Assembly cannot turn into an investigative body" (our translation). She also said that on her first day as chair she ordered the so-called "Peevski cabinet" vacated. — Club Z, 08.05.2026
  • Rome. During a visit to Rome she said: "This is not simply a tradition of the visit, it is a tradition of unity between the Catholic and the Orthodox religion, because Christianity is one and it is conciliar and united" (our translation). The chairman of Vazrazhdane, Kostadin Kostadinov, part of the delegation she led, distanced himself from the statement. Vazrazhdane's position is: "It is inadmissible for a speaker of the National Assembly to draw the Bulgarian state and the Bulgarian Orthodox Church into a potential religious scandal" (our translation). — News.bg, 23.05.2026

Other

  • Family and the BSP. Club Z describes her as the daughter of "the long-time former mayor of Berkovitsa Milcho Dotsov – also linked to the BSP" (our translation). According to BSP sources cited by the outlet, she herself "was a member of the BSP until a few months ago" (our translation); the article carries no confirmation from the party. — Club Z, 30.04.2026
