• Cancelled €729,000 security tender for Health Ministry sites. Caretaker minister Mihail Okoliyski has cancelled a direct-negotiation public procurement for unarmed security, OFFNews writes. Its value is €729,000 excluding VAT, for 24 months. According to the outlet, the tender "was announced on 18 February, the day before Silvi Kirilov left the post" (our translation). The signal that it was aimed at a specific company came from the contractor holding the current security contract, which has a commercial interest. The company is not named in the sources read. • Peevski refers matter to European Public Prosecutor's Office after his remarks on oligarchs. In March 2026 Okoliyski said publicly that a handful of oligarchs were abusing EU funds and the Recovery Plan. According to Marica, the leader of DPS-New Beginning referred the matter of the oligarchs in healthcare to the European Public Prosecutor's Office. In a statement, the party – a political opponent directly affected by the topic – demands that the minister name names. According to a biographical note on Zdrave.net, Okoliyski was adviser to Vasilev, Deputy PM and Finance Minister, from December 2021 to July 2022. From August 2022 to March 2023 he was chair of the board of directors of България Хели Мед Сървиз ЕАД. In June 2023 he was appointed deputy health minister and chair of the supervisory board of the NHIF. The note reports no irregularities in these posts.
