Russia
- Ukraine. At the opening of the new parliament on 30.04.2026 Yordanova spoke on behalf of PP and DB: "We are for clear support for Ukraine against the Russian aggressor" (our translation). — Club Z, 30.04.2026
- Rosenets. In January 2023 Yordanova, Ivaylo Mirchev and Martin Dimitrov drafted a Democratic Bulgaria bill, tabled in parliament, under which the Rosenets oil terminal, controlled by Lukoil, returns to the state and concessions are banned for critical-infrastructure sites linked to the transit of oil and oil products from Russia. The announcement came from DB itself. — RFE/RL, 07.01.2023
Corruption and scandals
- The Registry Agency. The newspaper Trud claims in an unsigned analysis that in early March 2022 the Ministry of Justice's inspectorate gave Minister Yordanova a report on violations during the term of the Registry Agency's executive director Daniela Miteva and recommended referring it to the State Financial Inspection Agency (ADFI), and that for "four months – from the beginning of March to July 2022, Nadezhda Yordanova took no action whatsoever against the head of the Registry Agency" (our translation); the report was sent to ADFI on 8 July. The analysis is aimed at the minister and her party Yes, Bulgaria; Trud says it has a copy of the report, and the article carries no reply from Yordanova. — Trud, 21.07.2022
- Anti-corruption commission. In January 2022 the anti-corruption commission (KPKONPI) refused to approve a bill amending the Civil Procedure Code tabled by Justice Minister Yordanova, citing "corruption risk": according to the commission, her ministry could award external legal-representation services without public procurement. At the time the commission's head Sotir Tsatsarov was in resignation and the ruling parties were demanding that he step down. The change was part of the coalition agreement. The ministry told Sega that the commission's opinion would be considered along with the others received during the public consultation. — Sega, 20.01.2022
- The monitoring vote. On 02.10.2025 24 Chasa reported that DB MP Nadezhda Yordanova "managed to cause a real scandal in parliament" (our translation) with her vote on the Council of Europe resolution ending the monitoring of Bulgaria: the mere mention of her name drew jeers from MPs, although she was absent from the sitting. — 24 Chasa, 02.10.2025
- The pardon. The site Glasove claims that a medical commission appointed in July 2022 by orders of the then justice minister Yordanova found that the illness of the pardoned Ognyan Atanasov "is serious and poses a risk to his life and health" (our translation). According to the site, the commission's composition was agreed with the then health minister Asena Serbezova, and deputy justice minister Emil Dechev took part in the procedure. 24 Chasa notes that Glasove is owned by Yavor Dachkov, who is part of the initiative committee behind Iliyana Yotova's candidacy. — 24 Chasa, 12.09.2026
- Golden passports. In February 2022 the DPS filed a signal to Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev about the "slanderous accusations" (our translation) of Justice Minister Yordanova regarding a possible link between the party and the "golden passports" case. According to MP Hamid Hamid, this concerned a statement on bTV's "Litse v litse" that law firms close to DPS had taken part in acquiring citizenship. DPS claims it has no connection with the scheme; the page does not report the outcome of the signal. — News.bg, 09.02.2022
