Corruption and scandals
- Removed a Vazrazhdane MP from the chamber. Struma.bg reports that, while chairing a sitting as deputy speaker of the National Assembly, she repeatedly cut the microphone of a Vazrazhdane MP and expelled her from the chamber. In response, the party's MPs blocked the rostrum. No further consequences were found. — Struma.bg, 5 March 2025

- Head of the political cabinet of two ministers. Her own CV on the Sofia University Law Faculty site says: „През 2008-2009 г. е началник на политическия кабинет на министъра на вътрешните работи.“ (our translation: In 2008–2009 she was head of the political cabinet of the interior minister.) She held the same post in 2017–2021 under the deputy prime minister for public order and security and defence minister. The CV does not name the ministers. Webcafe.bg names Mihail Mikov (BSP, Stanishev cabinet) and Krasimir Karakachanov (VMRO, third Borisov government). — Sofia University Law Faculty, 4 June 2025
- Assistant at the Interior Ministry Academy and lecturer at the ДАНС centre. Her CV on the Sofia University Law Faculty site says: "From 1999 to 2012 she was an assistant in criminal law at the Interior Ministry Academy" (our translation). She was also a part-time lecturer at the training centre of the State Agency for National Security. — Sofia University Law Faculty, 4 June 2025
- Chief of cabinet of the Speaker of the 52nd National Assembly. Banker reports her appointment under Dotsova of Progressive Bulgaria after the April 2026 election and recalls that in the 51st National Assembly she was a deputy chair for ИТН, and "Kuzmanova was also appointed deputy chair of the parliamentary committees on legal affairs and on combating corruption" (our translation). Sega writes that she was not on the ИТН lists, for reasons unknown, and notes political criticism of the appointment. Webcafe.bg calls it a curiosity, since an ИТН figure now heads the cabinet of a Speaker from another party. Nothing is alleged against her personally. — Banker, 7 May 2026
- Her husband – a union leader in the Interior Ministry. Banker writes that Iliya Kuzmanov heads the Trade Union Federation of Interior Ministry Employees, the largest police union in the country. He also sits on the ministry's social-dialogue council. Several outlets raised this as a matter of public interest when she was appointed to the Speaker's cabinet. — Banker, 7 May 2026
