Other

  • Elected deputy chairman of the Commission for Protection of Competition by the governing majority. Sega writes that the governing majority of GERB-SDS, ITN, BSP and the DPS-NN that supports them elected Rosen Karadimov chairman of the Commission for Protection of Competition (KZK) and, as his deputy, the former GERB-SDS MP Radomir Cholakov. The paper claims that Cholakov, who in the 49th National Assembly chaired the committee that drafted the constitutional amendments, afterwards fell out of favour, in the paper's view probably because of them, and that Borisov personally stated that he had expelled him at the request of Hristo Ivanov, the former co-chair of PP-DB. It adds the author's own assessment: "Now GERB-SDS compensates him with the high position in KZK" (our translation). — Sega, 23 May 2025
  • Claims he became a victim of the constitutional changes. Speaking to bTV, quoted by Actualno.com, the former chair of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs said: "I became a scapegoat so that everybody understands that the Constitution should not and must not be touched any more" (our translation). He claims that Borisov sacrificed him to please Hristo Ivanov: "Hristo Ivanov and company wanted to get rid of me because they were afraid of me" (our translation). The article carries no reply from Ivanov or Borisov. — Actualno.com, 25 Nov 2024
  • As KZK deputy chairman he urges that the future of Lukoil not be endangered. Speaking to BNT, quoted by Actualno.com, the KZK deputy chairman and former GERB MP says that there is no cartel on the fuel market and that Bulgaria is lucky to have the refinery in Burgas, and calls for more care in what is said. In his view it is good that Bulgaria has Lukoil, and "There is no need to take out the club at the moment" (our translation). Actualno.com headlines the piece that KZK "zealously defends" Lukoil (our translation). — Actualno.com, 8 Apr 2026
  • Calls the wish to replace Sarafov bait for the naive. On NOVA NEWS the KZK deputy chairman says the question is another one: the idea of Democratic Bulgaria to change the system for electing the Supreme Judicial Council and thereby the prosecutor general. He explains: "To change the system so that the National Assembly is placed in a situation of dependence on external and unaccountable factors" (our translation). — Actualno.com, 7 Mar 2026
  • Declares income of 203,062 leva. Actualno.com gives the figure in a piece on the assets of the heads of regulators, where he is presented as deputy of the KZK chairman. According to the outlet his latest declarations list six properties, 86,000 euro in bank accounts and 170,000 leva in cash, the cash being shown in the earlier one of 2025. — Actualno.com, 31 Aug 2026
