Russia
- Russian oil. On 7 May 2022, as chair of the parliamentary Energy Committee, he told bTV that Bulgaria would veto the EU-wide embargo on Russian oil if it did not get a two-year exemption. — RFE/RL Bulgarian Service, 07.05.2022
- Gdansk. In parliamentary questions in July 2026 he asked PM Radev why Bulgaria alone had not signed the joint declaration of Eastern Flank leaders adopted in Gdansk, which calls Russia "the most significant, direct and long-term threat", and told him: "In the last two months you have been vigorously defending foreign interests" (our translation). — Mediapool, 03.07.2026
- Coalition of the willing. In July 2026, after defence minister Dimitar Stoyanov defended before the defence committee the decision that Bulgaria would not join the coalition of the willing for Ukraine, Ribarski said that "there are no separate formats and absolutely all formats concern the collective defence of Europe, of the European Union" and that "in this way we are imposing self-isolation on ourselves" (our translation). — Mediapool, 14.07.2026
Corruption and scandals
- Botas. As deputy chair of the temporary commission on the contract between Bulgargaz and Turkey's Botas, Ribarski (PP-DB) said in April 2024 that the commission's report should have been debated in plenary but this was not happening. According to commission members, the report was signed by all 12 MPs on it and recommends that it be passed to the prosecutor's office and the State Agency for National Security. Commission chair Zhecho Stankov (GERB) attributed the delay to new classified information received. — RFE/RL Bulgarian Service, 18.04.2024
- "Decho from Stara Zagora". In a debate in September 2023 Radostin Vasilev ironically paraphrased claims from a GERB press conference about companies around PP: "Some Decho from Stara Zagora was Rado Ribarski's employer, or his uncle, I don't know what he is" (our translation). Club Z explains that Vasilev was referring to PP MP Radoslav Ribarski. The article cites no document or proceedings. — Club Z, 29.09.2023
