Russia

  • Ukraine. According to the parliament's press office, quoted by BTA, during a visit to Ukraine for the second parliamentary summit in Bucha she told the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, that Bulgaria "remains steadfast in its firm position on the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders" (our translation). — BTA, 31.03.2026

Corruption and scandals

  • Magnitsky. As chair of the parliamentary anti-corruption committee she said: "The Magnitsky list is not some legal form that has value in Bulgaria ... We do not know whether there is any evidence for all this" (our translation). In her view, recordings of voices of PP politicians showed that politicians had been put on the list through denunciations. Mediapool notes that Vladislav Goranov of GERB and Delyan Peevski are among those sanctioned under the Magnitsky Act. — Mediapool, 01.06.2024
  • The fee. Economist Iliyan Vasilev claims that a lawyer's fee of Nazaryan's was improperly paid by GERB from the state subsidy. This concerns the libel suit by GERB MP Delyan Dobrev against Vasilev himself (over publications on Russian influence in energy and TurkStream), in which she acted as Dobrev's lawyer; Vasilev is the opposing party. RFE/RL writes that the court found there was no libel and that the fee was paid from GERB's subsidy, which by law is to be used for election and party expenses. — RFE/RL, 20.06.2024
  • The microphone. Mediapool reports that during a vote she was heard saying: "Aaah, I'll [expletive] all you wankers" (our translation); the outlet describes it as an obscene insult to MPs woven into a curse. — Mediapool, 06.03.2026
  • The roof flat. BIRD claims, in a Facebook post archived on its website, that according to her declaration on entering the 49th National Assembly she has no accounts, deposits or loans, while a "two-storey house on the roof" of 253 sq m and a 34 sq m garage were bought for BGN 520,000 in 2021 without a mortgage, and a Mercedes for BGN 168,000 with available funds, not on lease. BIRD says it checked the data in the Property Register and the Cadastre, and states that the content "is not a full-fledged journalistic investigation" (our translation). — BIRD, 22.06.2024
