Corruption and scandals
- Convicted by plea agreement for a road accident while an MP. At a junction in Sofia, she hit a woman pedestrian, who suffered a fracture of the 12th thoracic vertebra. The charge was brought after the chief prosecutor sent a request to the 47th National Assembly and she herself consented to the criminal proceedings continuing; in court she pleaded guilty. By a ruling of 22.06.2022 Sofia City Court approved an agreement with the prosecution: three months' imprisonment suspended for three years, and a three-month driving ban. - The National Assembly sues her. The court in Ruse opens the case, in which parliament is the plaintiff; according to the local outlet Anons, cited by 24 Chasa, she is accused of "неоснователно обогатяване" (our translation: "unjust enrichment"). - Appoints her business partner as her parliamentary assistant. According to Filter's check of the Commercial Register, Angel Stefanov is her equal partner in Лега консулт 2009 ООД, and the National Assembly's register shows that she will rely on his expertise. The outlet adds: "Въпреки съвпадението на фамилиите двамата не са семейство, а само близки приятели, колеги и съдружници."
