- BIRD: US convictions over ATM skimming. BIRD.bg, which is in a dispute with him, claims on Facebook: „Самуил Славов има няколко присъди в САЩ. Съдебните регистри показват, че се е признал за виновен и е лежал в затвора.“ (our translation: "Samuil Slavov has several convictions in the USA. Court records show that he pleaded guilty and served prison time.") According to the outlet, he first denied it, then confirmed the arrests to it and said he had only passed on the skimming device. - BIRD: four months in a Florida jail. BIRD claims it obtained public records from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in Florida showing that he spent 120 days in jail. - Charged in Florida over devices on ATMs. Kliuki.bg, citing local Florida media and a bTV report, writes that in 2024 two 27-year-old Bulgarians, he and Miroslav Petkov, were charged in Clearwater over skimming devices. Petkov was released on bail, while „Самуил Славов обаче остава в ареста, тъй като има съмнения дали пребивава в Съединените щати законно.“ (our translation: "Samuil Slavov, however, remains in custody because there are doubts about whether he is legally resident in the United States.") - Resignation five days after the oath. On 19.03.2025 the National Assembly accepted it by 202 votes, after the Speaker, Natalia Kiselova, announced the request.
