• Russia. In an interview on bTV, asked whether he had any hesitation in calling Russia the aggressor, Trichkov said: "We have no concern. And I personally have no concern about telling the truth. And it is that in 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine and attacked Ukraine" (our translation). Corruption and scandals

• The reprimand. In a declaration on behalf of the Progressive Bulgaria group, Trichkov said of the government's critics: "They have not made a mistake, they are liars and vile manipulators" (our translation). Prof. Kostadin Angelov of GERB and Yordan Ivanov of DB demanded a sanction, and the presiding chair Mihaela Dotsova, from his own party, reprimanded him; according to Novini.bg this made him the first sanctioned MP in the 52nd National Assembly. — Novini.bg, 29.07.2026
• The drones. On 14 October 2026, at the end of the parliamentary hearing of the Prime Minister on the drone attacks in the Black Sea, Trichkov presented the ruling majority's position: "It is time for the specialists in hand-kissing, in sitting on laps, in rubber-boat landings to stop lecturing on diplomacy and military affairs" (our translation).
