Corruption and scandals
- The recording. Club Z describes a leaked recording, circulated to the media, of a conversation about public procurement between a presumed district mayor from We Continue the Change (PP) and a senior party figure; the person recording is presumed to be Lyulin mayor Georgi Todorov, "one of the four defectors from PP" (our translation). After the person recording mentions "Tatyana Sultanova, that husband of hers, Sivev", the other man says: "Stefan, they have offered him 5-6 sites, but he does not like them" (our translation). Club Z writes that Sultanova is a PP-DB MP and her husband Stefan Sivev works in construction and investment, and that the participants in the recording and its authenticity remain a mystery. — Club Z, 25.06.2025
- The reply. RFE/RL: in the recording the person recording asks specifically about Tatyana Sultanova, and the other man answers that "her husband Stefan Sivev keeps refusing projects offered to him" (our translation). PP co-chair Kiril Petkov, whose party is hit by the scandal, says in reply to her being mentioned: "We have not found, so far, a company linked to an MP that has received or applied for contracts" (our translation). According to the article, the Anti-Corruption Commission had released no official information on the case by then. — RFE/RL Bulgarian Service, 26.06.2025
- The company. PIK writes: "Stefan Sivev from the recording is the husband of MP Tatyana Sultanova-Siveva. His company has not won public procurements and has private clients, a check showed" (our translation). The agency does not say what the check was. — PIK, 07.07.2025
- The waste law. In the October 2026 debate on the Waste Management Act she told the ruling majority: "What revolution exactly are you making? You are making a revolution in reverse. The chaos you are creating is even greater" (our translation). Stefan Sabrutev (Progressive Bulgaria) replied: "We took the initiative from you and the changes are made so as to remove the lobbying texts that had been put into some of the points" (our translation). Bozhidar Bozhanov replied that there is "not a single lobbying text" (our translation). — BTA, 16.10.2026
