- Distancing himself from arms deliveries to Ukraine. After the Bulgarski Vazhod deputies backed the decision on Ukraine in the plenary on 03.11.2022, although they had opposed it in the defence committee, he wrote on Facebook: "I voted for military aid, but not for weapons!" (our translation), Actualno.com reports. Asked what that aid includes, he replied that it meant humanitarian support, clothes and medicines, and added: "I am for neutrality!" (our translation).
