Corruption and scandals
- Worked at ДЛВ, which Bivol links to the Landslides scheme. According to Bivol, the Pernik company has contracts for at least 10 landslide-reinforcement sites worth about 61 million leva in total, and between 2014 and 2020 it won 32 public contracts worth over 40 million leva. In May 2021, when molten asphalt welled up on Dondukov Boulevard, he spoke to the media as financial manager of the contractor, ДЛВ. Десислава Христова, the dismissed executive director of Автомагистрали, claims that he became "the minister's right hand" (our translation) to Гроздан Караджов. - Removed from АПИ by caretaker minister Иван Шишков. He had chaired the agency's board since December 2021, appointed by regional minister Гроздан Караджов. The dismissal came a day after public tenders for road maintenance were unexpectedly launched. - Removed as chair of НКЖИ on 02.03.2026. Caretaker transport minister Корман Исмаилов removed him. The stated reason was "failure to comply with the minister's instruction regarding the improvement of financial discipline" (our translation). He had joined the company about a year earlier and in May 2025 won a competition for a mandate to 2030.
