- Минеков: the Narodniya teatar works with her daughter's firm. Caretaker culture minister Велислав Минеков told BTV that Ния Коцева, the daughter of Кръстева, then PR of the Narodniya teatar, owns or co-owns several firms, among them Инфлуенсър БГ. "These are not accusations, the activity is certainly quite normal, but I want to make sure of that normality" (our translation), the minister said. — Faktor, 31.01.2023
- Dismisses the НДК management without the minister's knowledge. Площад Славейков writes that Кръстева is "the real minister of Bulgarian culture, not Петър Стоянович" (our translation). - Her appointment at the Narodniya teatar sparks a dispute over ДПС. She becomes PR of the Narodniya teatar under director Васил Василев. The two were deputy ministers of culture together in the cabinet of Пламен Орешарски. She tells Mediapool that she remains a ДПС activist and an unpaid adviser to the party. Thanks to this position she holds a pass to the National Assembly. RFE/RL notes that she co-sponsored several bills with Делян Пеевски, who is sanctioned by the US for corruption. On 2 October 2022 she accompanied Ахмед Доган to his polling station. Later the door of her office at the theatre was covered with the words "ДПС" and "Get lost" (our translation), and chief director Александър Морфов admitted he wrote them. Кръстева said she would not resign.
