Other

  • The Soviet Army Monument: a court dispute and threats against her. The dismantling began in December 2023; on 19 December the Sofia City Administrative Court, at Vazrazhdane's request, ordered it stopped as not carried out in compliance with an administrative act or the law, BTA reported. The Supreme Administrative Court overturned that ruling because the applicants – the Izpravi se BG association, represented by Maya Manolova, city councillor Voyslav Todorov and two individuals – had no legal interest, The Sofia Globe writes. As regional governor of Sofia, on 21 March 2024 she published an invitation to a market consultation on the value of a tender to restore the figures, and in April the slabs bearing the monument's inscription were removed. She told bTV that she still had a guard because of the numerous threats she received during the protests in defence of the monument, and that the Interior Ministry was investigating. — BTA, 19 December 2023, The Sofia Globe, 9 April 2024, bTV News, 23 April 2024
  • Calls for her resignation over reversed elections in the Sofia Municipal Council. Some political parties made them after she reversed the election of the committee leaders and of the council's deputy chairpersons; BTA reports that she dismissed them. — BTA, 16 February 2024
