Corruption and scandals
- Baba Alino. On 24.06.2026 Yordan Terziyski (PP) told journalists in the parliament lobby: „The father of a GERB MEP is a partner of Mr Nevzorov's firm in sites in Baba Alino“ (our translation); according to him, GERB provides a political umbrella over the affair. According to Sega, this refers to Yordan Radev, father of GERB MEP Emil Radev. Emil Radev called the claims a lie: according to him, in 2007 his father and a partner acquired 2/3 of the plot and Evro Rit the remaining 1/3; in June 2025 Forest Club Varna bought Evro Rit without their knowledge; and had there been a political umbrella, the detailed development plan would have been approved during the term of mayor Ivan Portnih. Radev threatened Terziyski with a lawsuit. — Sega, 24.06.2026
- The lawsuit. According to Mediapool, Emil Radev announced that he would sue Yordan Terziyski and anyone who „tries to involve me and my family in the Baba Alino scandal“ (our translation). The prosecutor's office said it is conducting six investigations into the Baba Alino construction; according to Mediapool, no charges have been brought against Oleg Nevzorov. — Mediapool, 24.06.2026
