Russia
- Russian oil. In the Energy Committee, on a bill by Kostadin Kostadinov and a group of MPs that would allow the Council of Ministers to seek an exemption from the ban on importing oil and oil products from Russia, Ognyanov of Progressive Bulgaria noted that a law must be a solution that can actually be implemented, and that the ban "is not national, but was introduced by a regulation of the European Union" (our translation). The bill was not adopted (two against, 10 abstentions); the energy ministry's opinion, presented by Minister Iva Petrova, was negative. — BTA, 07.10.2026
